Dracula Has Risen From The Grave: Dracula runs afoul of small-town monsignor while he chases the churchman’s stunning blonde niece. Cast includes Christopher Lee, Rupert Davies, Veronica Carlson, Barbara Ewing, Barry Andrews, and Michael Ripper. (92 minutes, 1968)
Rich and Strange: Kendall and Barry, an discontentedly married couple, are given cash and voyage around the world; he has an event with a “princess,” when she gets to be romantically close to an explorer. Cast includes Henry Kendall, Joan Barry, Betty Amann, Percy Marmont, and Elsie Randolph. (83 minutes, 1932)
Ace Ventura, Pet Detective: This film is directed by Tom Shadyac. This is a typically wild Jim Carey comedy. He is cast as Ace Ventura, a pet detective. The mascot of the Miami Dolphins has been kidnapped, and it is up to Ace Ventura to break the case. Jim Carrey, Courtney Cox. And Sean Young star. (1994 Comedy)
Richard’s Things: Widow Ullmann is seduced by her now deceased spouse’s lady friend. Screenplay by Frederic Raphael based on his novel. Cast includes Liv Ullmann, Amanda Redman, Tim Smith, Elizabeth Spriggs, and David Markha. (104 minutes, 1980)
Macabre: Outlandish goings on in smaIl town where a doctor’s young daughter mysteriously disappears and a unspecified telephone caller declares that the youngster has been buried alive. Cast includes William Prince, Jim Backus, Christine White, and Jacqueline Scott. (73 minutes, 1958)
The General: One of Keaton’s finest silent films, setting comedy contrary to real Civil Battle account of a stolen train, and Union spies. Not as bizarre as other Keaton films, though delightfully complete. Cast includes Buster Keaton, Marion Mack, Glen Cavender, Jim Farley, and Joseph Keaton. (100 minutes, 1984)
Danny Boy: Ambitious although arrogant, inexorably boring melodrama of sax player Rea, who trades his sax for a gun after observing a triple assassination. This was Jordan’s directorial debut, which he as well did the screenplay. He and leading guy Rea later reteamed for The Weeping Game. (92 minutes, 1982)
