Light Years: Conceited energized sci-fi fantasy, in regards to a prince who time-voyages into the future; he’s enclosed by characters identified Ambisextra, Transformation, Chief of the Distorted, and The Collective Voice (so you know this wasn’t made with youthful kids in mind). Bourder Incident: Well put together tale of the U.S. boarder patrol trying to stem the tide of the smuggling of immigrants across Texas-Mexico boundary. Cast includes Ricardo Montalban, George Murphy, Howard da Silva, and Charles McGraw. (92 minutes, 1949)

The Search for Signs of Inteligent Life in the Universe: This is a witty re-creation of Lily Tomlin’s 1985 one female Broadway show. Her characterizations run the gamut from box woman to juvinille delinquent to New Age Lady, with much of the material in a feminist vein. The show stars Lily Tomlin obviously. (120 minutes, 1991)

My Science Project: Laughless, often tasteless comedy in reference to high school kids who discover an alien gadget that can create a time and space warps. Cast includes John StockwelI, DanielIe Von Zerneck, Fisher Stevens, Raphael Sbarge, Dennis Hopper, Barry Corbin, Ann Wedgeworth, and Richard Masur. (94 minutes, 1985)

The Red Badge of Courage: Yankee cadet Murphy escapes under fire and is guilt afflicted over his obvious absence of guts. Stephen Crane’s Civil Battle novel acquires both fable and personal therapy by director Huston. High quality battle scenes and some genuinely terrifying Insurgent cavalry charges highlight this research of the fine line between cowardice and courage. Cast includes Audie Murphy, Bill Mauldin, Douglas Dick, Royal Dano, John Dierkes, Arthur Hunnicutt, Tim Durant, and Andy Devine. (69 minutes, 1951)
